## Symptoms

- Creation of new VSX Gateway / VSX cluster object on Check Point appliance fails with the following error in SmartDashboard:

Failed to configure NAME_of_VSX_CLUSTER_OBJECT with the following errors:
NAME_of_VSX_CLUSTER_MEMBER_1 error :Interface cannot be setNULL
NAME_of_VSX_CLUSTER_MEMBER_2 error :Interface cannot be setNULL
VSX Processing Completed with Errors

Pushing network configuration to NAME_of_VSX_CLUSTER_OBJECT operation has finished with warnings.
         Refer to the messages retrieved during the VSX push configuration stage
         and make sure that the configuration you are trying to push is legal.
         If the problem persists contact Check Point Technical Support.

Operation has failed.
```

## Cause

The initial default gateway created by Gaia OS on Check Point appliances is not removed from the Gaia database:
