# sk100826 - After configuring new Log Server for a Security Gateway, no logs are received on the new Log Server

## Symptoms

- * User has configured a new Log Server. This new Log Server was selected in the properties of for a Security Gateway object. However, SmartView Tracker does not show any logs on the new Log Server.

* Output of the `netstat -anp | grep -E "Foreign|257"` command on the Security Gateway shows that the connection from Security Gateway to TCP port 257 is in the state "`TIME_WAIT`".

## Cause

Security Gateway is not "aware" of the new Log Server.
