# sk100713 - ClusterXL and VRRP members on Check Point appliances running on Gaia OS with different Build numbers

## Symptoms

- A Check Point appliance that was a part of ClusterXL and VRRP was replaced per RMA procedure.  

Output of Gaia Clish command "`show version all`" shows that the new (replaced) cluster member is running the same version of Gaia OS, but with different Build number.

*Example*:

* "Old" cluster member - Gaia R75.40, build 89
* "New" cluster member - Gaia R75.40, build 339

## Cause

ISO images are updated periodically. Check Point installs the latest available build on the replacement units.

## Solution

By design, all members in Check Point Cluster and VRRP must run software, which is identical in every aspect - including build numbers of the underlying operating system (in order to avoid any potential issues).

There are two options:

* (Recommended) Re-install the "old" cluster member with the same ISO that was used for the "new" cluster member.
* Restore a backup file that was collected from the failed member (before it failed) on the "new" cluster member.
