# sk100642 - SecureXL does not accelerate VPN traffic

## Symptoms

- * Output of '`top`' command on Security Gateway shows high CPU load.

* Output of '`fwaccel stats -s`' command on Security Gateway shows that only small portion of the traffic is accelerated.

* Output of '`fwaccel conns`' command on Security Gateway shows that connections that pass through VPN tunnel are "F2F" (Forwarded to Firewall).

* VPN kernel debug ('`fw ctl debug -m VPN + cphwd`') shows:

  `cphwd_crypt_supported: Accelerator does not support compression;`

## Cause

"Support IP compression" option is enabled within the VPN Community.

SecureXL does not support IP compression, therefore, the traffic is not accelerated.
