## Symptoms

- * The CLISH command `> show interface ethX xcvr_detail` does not show valid optical power readings for Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus (SFP+)
* Fiber ports display incorrect optical power and threshold values, for example:

```
Tx Power -inf dBm 3.29 dBm 3.23 dBm 2.36 dBm 3.24 dBmRx Power -inf dBm 0.72 dBm -0.85 dBm -inf dBm 5.68 dBm
```

* Network traffic continues to pass normally through the affected interfaces.
* The issue affects only the visibility of optical diagnostics.

## Cause

A software condition prevents the system from reading the actual optical values from the SFP+ module. As a result, incorrect optical power and threshold values are displayed.
