## Symptoms

- * After migration of the Multi-Domain Security Management environment, firewall policy installation fails.
* The failure occurs across all Domains, with the same error in the *$FWDIR/log/CPM.elg* file, for example:

  ```text
  Failed to convert policy due to unexpected exception
  com.checkpoint.management.coresvc.ObjectNotFoundException:
  Object not found - [object_UID]
  ```

* SmartConsole reports that policy installation failed due to an internal error.
* Check Point Management (CPM) and policy installation debug logs show policy conversion failure with an `ObjectNotFoundException`.

## Cause

The local domain policy references a Global Virtual Private Network (VPN) Community object that is not available in that local domain.

After the upgrade, Global Domain Assignment recalculates which global objects each local domain receives. A Global VPN Community is assigned only to Domains that have participating Security Gateways in that community.

In the affected environment, the Global VPN Community still exists in the Global Domain database. However, no participating Security Gateway from the affected local domain exists in that community. As a result, the object is not assigned to the affected local domain.

During policy conversion, Check Point Management tries to retrieve the referenced object in the local domain context. Because the object is not available in that domain, the conversion fails with `ObjectNotFoundException`. This causes policy installation to fail with an internal error.
